If possible try to get organically grown so you can avoid chemical and pesticide and you will get a fresher flavor to your dish.
1 1/2 Cup Brown lentil (preferably soaked over night makes it easier on the digestion)
3/4 Cup Wild rice (also soaked)
1 carrot shredded
1 Small onions chopped
Fresh ground pepper to taste
Natural sea salt to taste
Cumin to taste
1/2 Squeezed lemon
Chopped parsley to garnish
2 Tbs olive oil
Mineral water boiled.
First you saute the chopped onion in the pot with the oil for few minutes. After it turn gold you add the carrot stir for few minutes,  add the lentil and the rice and stir it together for couple of minutes. Then you add the boiling water with the spices according to taste, give it a quick boil and let it simmer for couple of hours.
Before serving squeeze the lemon and stir and then garnish with the parsley.
The lentil will give  you your protein source and the wild rice the whole grain.

Bon Appetite.
